📢 Call for Applications – Board Membership

Are you passionate about advancing the Biomedical Engineering profession in Tamil Nadu?

Applications are invited from eligible Biomedical Engineering professionals to serve on the Board of the Tamil Nadu Biomedical Engineering Society (TNBMES). We seek committed leaders who will contribute to the growth of the profession, promote collaboration, and support the advancement of Biomedical Engineering across Tamil Nadu.

Open Positions:

1. President - 1
2. Vice President - 1
3. Secretary - 1
4. Joint Secretary - 1
5. Treasurer - 1
6. Executive Member - 5

Eligibility Criteria:

1. President & Vice President:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience may be in industry, academia, hospitals, or a combination thereof.
- Must have practiced continuously in Tamil Nadu.

2. Secretary, Joint Secretary & Treasurer:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience may be in industry, academia, hospitals, or a combination thereof.
- Must have practiced continuously in Tamil Nadu.

3. Executive Member:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering.
- Experience may be in industry, academia, hospitals, or a combination thereof.
- Must have practiced continuously in Tamil Nadu.

We welcome applications from professionals engaged in teaching, research, manufacturing, repair and maintenance, and other professional activities in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Professionals from industry, hospitals, academic institutions, research organizations, and allied sectors are encouraged to apply.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Biomedical Engineering profession, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and help shape its future in Tamil Nadu.

Professionals who do not currently meet the eligibility criteria for the above Board positions but are genuinely committed to the promotion and advancement of the Biomedical Engineering profession are also encouraged to express their interest. The Society welcomes dedicated volunteers to contribute to its various committees, initiatives, and activities.

Together, let's strengthen the Biomedical Engineering profession in Tamil Nadu.

Note: The above positions constitute the Founding Board of the Tamil Nadu Biomedical Engineering Society (TNBMES). These are voluntary (honorary) positions and not full-time or salaried roles. No remuneration, salary, honorarium, or other financial compensation will be provided. Board Members are expected to serve in the interest of the profession and contribute their time and expertise to the activities and objectives of the Society. Subsequent Boards of the Society shall be elected by the eligible members of TNBMES in accordance with the Society's Bye-laws.
